As part of an outreach and legal awareness initiative, a group of law students visited the Juvenile Justice Home at Yerwada, today on 12th August 2025 .The purpose was to inform the juveniles about their legal rights and the justice process in a manner that was engaging and easy to understand.
The students team led by Omkar Gholve used creative media such as a drama and a traditional Powada performance to narrate the journey of a young person through the legal system, highlighting rights such as the right to legal aid, protection from ill-treatment, education, and rehabilitation.
This was organised under the guidance of Adv Ashok Palande, Vice-Chairman of DES GB & Council & Chairman of College Development Committee and Our Principal Dr Sunita Adhav. The extension activity was coordinated by Dr. Neeta Ahir, Asst. Prof. Ajinkya Waghmare, Asst Prof Pradnya Yadav & Asst. Prof. Prithviraj Chavan.
