The academic year 2023–2024 laid a profound foundation for high-level legal research and institutional modernization. A major milestone was achieved as the college was officially recognized as a Ph.D. Research Center by Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU), elevating its status to an advanced hub for scholars contributing to modern legal jurisprudence.

  • - Vedhas — The E-Law Journal: Launched under the aegis of Club Vidhit, this cutting-edge electronic journal serves as a vital digital platform for student scholarship. Vedhas blends traditional legal analysis with modern socio-legal commentary, offering students a structured space to develop their legal writing skills, publish research papers, and engage with contemporary statutory updates.

Concurrently, the establishment of the DES Centre for Legal Excellence (DES CLE) transformed professional training by delivering multi-dimensional certificate courses, para-legal internships, and launching the distinguished 'Swatantryaveer Savarkar Smruti Abhinav Bharat Vyaspeeth' lecture series. Recognizing the intricate pressures of rigorous academics, the college pioneered the Mental Health Cell, introducing institutional psychosocial support, counseling, and therapy to foster student resilience.

The college run three Diploma Courses & various certificate courses throughout the year for upskilling & value addition.  In step with the National Education Policy (NEP) guidelines, the college initiated a progressive blueprint to integrate the Indian Knowledge System (IKS) into modern law. Through customized value-added modules and research initiatives, the institution began mapping classical Indian jurisprudence onto contemporary legal structures. This academic year also saw an intensification of specialized skills training via the Digital Language Laboratory, arming students with the advanced nuances of legal drafting, professional rhetoric, and corporate cross-examinations.

The Placement & Internship Assistance Cell attempts to secure peak corporate and law firm compensation packages for the willing & able students. The Judicial Internship program enables students to avail practicle training under the supervision & guidance of the respective judges in the honourable courts like Family Court, District & Sessions Court etc. Amplifying corporate legal acumen, the Entrepreneurship & Innovation Cell hosted the high-impact SPPU Start-up Talk Series, providing law students direct pathways to tech innovators and start-up frameworks.

On the global stage, the college expanded its footprint, driving international mentorship opportunities for young graduates through its burgeoning London Chapter alongside domestic chapters. Strategically,the Legal Research Cell encouraged publications on many contemporary issues and the Seminar Department launched comprehensive policy and judgment analysis projects backed by new academic and institutional MoUs, which included high-profile National & International collaborations with bodies such as the Crime Investigation Department (CID) and the National Commission for Women, KLE Law College, and Zilla Parishad, Pune., Nepal Law College, Tribhuvan University Nepal, Bhaktivedanta Research Centre, Shiv-Vardhan Group, Victor Dantas Law College, Heartfulness Education Trust, Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram, Uttarapath Institute of Competitive Studies, Adhivakta Parishad & Tilak College of Education etc.

  • Social Responsibility & Extension Cells: Guided by the spirit of Pro Bono Publico, the Legal Aid Centre, the Pro-Bono Club ‘Jagruti’, the Consumer Club and the Family Counselling Centre (Sahajeevan) provide direct legal relief and mediation to marginalized communities.   • Forums for Rhetoric & Cultural Renaissance: The Model United Nations Forum, Parliamentary Debate & Debate Forum (Mimansa) hosts the Late Shri Gopal Ganesh Agarkar International Intercollegiate Debate Competition, matching the creative fervor of the annual youth confluence, Indradhanush.
