• Note: 10th December is celebrated worldwide as the International Human Rights Day. DES’ Shri. Navalmal Firodia Law College always remains alert towards the socio-legal developments of the society. keeping in view, the need of inclusive development of the contemporary society, Women’s Study Cell of the institute has organized a guest lecture to celebrate International Human Rights Day on 11th December, 2023. Theme of the same was “Inclusiveness of Human Rights - Women & Child Rights’ Perspectives.” Through this lecture, the Guest Speaker enlightened the students and faculty members about legislative framework and the structural mechanism available for fostering and enforcing rights of women and children under Indian legal system. She also mentioned her concern about lacunas and practical difficulties that arises while practically implementing the laws existing in the area

• Outcome of the event: Discourse delivered by the guest speaker enlightened the students about significance of inclusiveness in national development. It also made students aware about legislative and policy framework available for safeguarding rights of women and children in India and the difficulties encountered at practical level for enforcing them, which lead to injustice and inequality in the society. This encouraged the students to pose certain genuine and practical anxieties regarding means for empowerment of women in our society.
