Supreme Court Visit
The Supreme Court of India is the supreme judicial authority of India and the highest court of the Republic of India under the constitution. It is the highest constitutional court and has the final decision in all legal matters. It also has the power of judicial review.
On Thursday, 1.02.2024, the students of D.E.S. Shri Navalmal Firodia Law College visited the Supreme Court of India. Students were able to visit advocate chambers and could meet Lawyers. However due to security reasons, we could not get permission to see the premises from inside. The supreme court visit was an enriching experience for the students overall and one that will continue to inspire them for long.
Akshardham temple
We also visited Akshardham temple on the same day. The Akshardham mandir has over two hundred murtis, representing many of the spiritual stalwarts over many millennia. We also saw the Sahaj Anand Water Show. It is a breathtaking 24-minute presentation which unites a variety of intriguing media to bring to life a story from the Kena Upanishad. Multi-color lasers, video projections, underwater flames, water jets and surround sound in symphony with lights and live actors produce a captivating and inspiring presentation. A visit to Akshardham is a spiritually enriching experience
Rashtrapati Bhavan Visit
Next day we visited Rashtrapati Bhavan. Rashtrapati Bhavan, home to the president of the world's largest democracy, epitomizes India's strenghts, its democratic traditions and secular character. We experienced the grandeur of Rashtrapati Bhavan, and it was a memorable experience for everyone
NHRC Visit
In the afternoon, we visited NHRC. The NHRC is an embodiment of India’s concern for the promotion and protection of human rights. Students were informed about various activities conducted at NHRC. Presentation on how to register online complaint was delivered and students were informed about placements, training and research at NHRC. It was academically enriching experience for everyone.
Red Fort, Chandani Chawk and Meena Bazar Visit
In the evening , we visited Red Fort, Chandani Chawk and Meena Bazar. Everyone was amazed to see the beauty of Red fort and enjoyed shopping at Chandani Chawk & Meena Bazar.
Students stayed in Delhi two days and visited Prime Minister Museum , Rashtrapati Bhavan Garden , Sarojini Market etc.
Mussorie and Rishikesh Visit
Next we visited Mussorie. Mussoorie, the queen of hill stations, is famous for its scenic beauty, good social life and entertainment. We witnessed snow fall and saw many sites such as Kempty Falls, Lal Tibba , Mall Road. Students and staff were blown away by the beauty of the best places that make Mussoorie the most preferred destination for the travellers.
Our last destination was Rishikesh . Set against the backdrop of the Himalayas and with the pristine Ganga flowing through it, the ancient town of Rishikesh is one of the major tourist and pilgrimage hubs in northern India, where people from across the world arrive in search of peace. Rishikesh is commonly referred to as the ‘yoga capital of the world’. Rishikesh has numerous ashrams and other ancient Indian traditions of wellness.We visited Ram Zula , Laxman Zula , Beatles Ashram . Students also witnessed world famous Ganga Arti .
It was indeed a great experience to see all these places. On 7th February , we reached Delhi International Airport and reached safely in Pune. Though the trip was over but beautiful memories remained with us forever.
